About Lock Block Font

There is something immediately physical about these letterforms — they feel built rather than drawn, stacked and pressed into shape like movable type at its most muscular. Muhamad Yusron Billah of Sronstudio created this display family in 2024 using FontCreator 13.0, and the result is a three-variant system with a confident, block-heavy structure that holds its own at large sizes.

Design Aesthetics & Character Characteristics

The family ships in OTF format across three distinct expressions: a clean Regular, a dimensional Extrude that adds depth through offset layering, and a Shadow that casts the forms back into the page. Together they read as bold and modern while carrying an undercurrent of vintage character — the kind of type that recalls printed ephemera, screen-printed posters, and the heavier end of mid-century commercial lettering. Latin coverage keeps the scope focused, but within that range the forms are punchy and deliberate.

Recommended Usage & Font Pairing

The three cuts are built for headline work: posters, logos, branding lockups, and T-shirt graphics where weight and presence do the heavy lifting. The Extrude and Shadow variants are particularly useful when you need the type itself to carry visual dimension without reaching for external effects. For contrast pairings, the listed companion faces — Etna, Canela, Helvetica, ABC Arizona, and Bahnschrift — each offer a different kind of relief: refined serif softness from Canela, geometric neutrality from Helvetica and Bahnschrift, and the editorial character of ABC Arizona alongside Etna.
