FontsGallery respects intellectual property. If you believe a font file, preview, or other material on this site infringes your copyright, you may send a takedown notice as described below. We also accept claims through the contact form with DMCA pre-selected.

Designated agent

Send notices to the designated agent at [email protected] with the subject “DMCA takedown notice”, or use Submit a DMCA claim.

Required elements of a notice

A valid notice should include all of the following:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (for example, the font family name and foundry).
  2. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, and information reasonably sufficient to locate it — typically the URL of the font page.
  3. Your contact information: name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
  6. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.

Our response

When we receive a complete notice, we review it and, where appropriate, disable or remove the listed material. We aim to acknowledge complete notices within seven days and to complete a first-pass review within fourteen days, though timing can vary with the complexity of the claim. We may forward the notice to the user who submitted the material.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same agent email including:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, for any district in which FontsGallery may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the original complainant.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material unless the original complainant seeks a court order within the period provided by applicable law.

Repeat infringement

We may terminate accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
