FontsGallery is a curated visual gallery of free fonts. We built it for designers who want to see type before they commit to it — a wall of faces, not a spreadsheet of names.
The mission is simple: make discovering free fonts a visual-first experience. Type a line of copy, watch every family answer in its own voice, then download TTF, OTF, WOFF, or WOFF2 when a face fits.
Who runs the site
FontsGallery is independently operated as a public catalog. We index, preview, and host fonts that creators have released under open or free licenses, and we credit the designers and foundries whenever that information is available.
We do not design the typefaces listed here, and we do not claim ownership of any font file. Each family remains the intellectual property of its original designer or foundry — see Font Licensing for how that works on the site.
A brief history
FontsGallery grew out of a practical frustration: most free-font directories bury the look of a typeface behind a filename. We started by putting preview first — large, lazy-loaded specimens on a quiet canvas — then added categories, search, collections, and a font identifier that suggests similar faces from our own catalog.
The catalog is still growing. If you make type and want it on the wall, you can submit a font for review, or get in touch.
