About Sourdough Script Font
There is a warmth to this script that reads immediately — loose enough to feel handwritten, controlled enough to hold together at display sizes. It comes from Mans Greback, whose studio Mans Greback AB has a long history of producing expressive lettering faces. The single Regular style is delivered as an OTF, and even within that one cut the forms carry considerable personality.
Design Aesthetics & Character Characteristics
The mood sits squarely in classic, rustic, and vintage territory, with just enough playfulness to keep it from feeling stiff or nostalgic in a heavy-handed way. Flowing connected strokes give it the kind of character that works at large scale on a label or a logo, where the slight irregularities in the letterforms become an asset rather than a flaw. Latin and Latin Extended (partial) character sets are included, along with Vietnamese support — a wider reach than many script faces in this category tend to offer.
Recommended Usage & Font Pairing
It earns its keep in branding and logo work, on packaging, across menu design, and anywhere on social media where a hand-crafted tone is the point rather than an affectation. When you need to bring it down to earth alongside a neutral, it pairs well with Helvetica or the editorial structure of Canela and ABC Arizona; Etna and AQUA offer alternatives when you want something with a little more character contrast.
