About Matcha Font
There is a particular ease to the way this script flows — a hand-lettered warmth that sits somewhere between casual calligraphy and refined penmanship. Designed by andikastudio, it comes as a single Regular weight in OTF format, which keeps things focused. The letterforms carry a classic elegance without tipping into stiffness.
Design Aesthetics & Character Characteristics
Matcha is a script face built around romantic, elegant sensibility — the kind of type that reads like it was written with intention rather than speed. The connecting strokes feel natural, and the overall texture is warm rather than formal. It covers Latin and arrives as one style, so the craft is concentrated entirely in that single cut rather than spread across a range.
Recommended Usage & Font Pairing
It earns its place on wedding stationery, invitation cards, and greeting cards where tone matters as much as legibility. Branding and logo work with a romantic or classic register are equally good fits. For contrast, it pairs well with the editorial weight of Canela or ABC Arizona, the clean geometry of Helvetica, or the character-driven cuts of Etna and AQUA.
