About PP Formula Font
There is a particular discipline to the way Mathieu Desjardins has handled the width axis here — each cut occupies its own register, from tightly packed condensed to generously spread extended, and the whole system holds together with unusual coherence. Designed and released by Pangram Pangram® Foundry, this is a geometric sans built around rational construction, clean terminals, and a confidence in negative space that keeps even the lightest weights from feeling fragile.
Design Aesthetics & Character Characteristics
The family covers an ambitious span of optical widths and weights: Condensed and Semi Condensed cuts run from Thin through Black, the default and Narrow widths anchor the middle ground with Light through ExtraBold, and Extended and Semi Extended styles stretch the proportions toward the kind of modern, minimal presence that works well at large scale. Available in OTF, the forms are sharp and professional throughout — italics appear in the ExtraLight Semi Condensed and Light Condensed positions, adding just enough oblique movement for emphasis without crowding the overall palette. The mood is deliberately bold without being decorative, and the geometry reads clearly whether you are setting a single headline word or a full logotype.
Recommended Usage & Font Pairing
The width range makes this family well suited to headline-driven work: poster campaigns, magazine covers, brand identity systems, and logo lockups where you need to control the color of a line without switching typefaces. Coverage is Latin. For editorial contexts, it sits well alongside Canela, whose calligraphic serif warmth offsets the strict geometry. Armelie, 321 Impact, AQUA, and Kactigona round out the pairing options for projects that call for something with more personality or display energy in a secondary role.
License & Usage Terms
