About Newscript Font
There is a particular ease to this script — the strokes flow with the kind of measured confidence you associate with hand-lettered wedding stationery, neither too casual nor overwrought. Nanang Jamaludin of Integritype Studio released it in 2021, built in FontCreator 13.0, and delivered it as a single Regular weight in OTF format. The letterforms carry a classic romantic character while reading cleanly at display sizes.
Design Aesthetics & Character Characteristics
The mood lands somewhere between elegant and modern — it has the sweep of traditional calligraphy without the archaic heaviness that makes some script faces feel costume-y. Available as a single Regular cut, it works best given room to breathe at headline scale rather than being pushed into body copy. Latin character coverage keeps the scope focused, and the forms carry that quiet, romantic warmth that suits celebratory contexts well.
Recommended Usage & Font Pairing
The obvious territory is wedding and invitation design, but branding and greeting cards are equally natural fits — anywhere a signature-like quality adds warmth to the message. Social media graphics benefit from the script's legibility at cropped, square formats. When you need to balance it with a secondary face, it pairs well alongside Canela, Helvetica, AQUA, Etna, or ABC Arizona, each offering a different level of contrast depending on whether the layout calls for a soft serif or a clean geometric companion.
